    The Dow was down almost 200-points yesterday, the Nasdaq was up over 100, the S&P 500 was flat. What's happening? Yields and the dollar were up putting some pressure on equities, yet interest rate sensitive small caps led the TSP funds for the day.

  2. TSP Talk - Post options week reversal - or more upside?

    The Dow had a big day on Friday, but otherwise it was a mostly tepid expiration Friday, thanks to a late push higher into the close. It was not a tepid week as the three TSP stock funds were all up another 1.6%, tacking onto a May's big gains halfway through the month. Bond yields and the dollar have pushed off recent lows and a lull of economic data will continue this week.

  3. TSP Talk Weekly Wrap Up



    Those sitting in stock funds this week added to their TSP value. The C, S, and I-fund all rose around 1.6% for the week. The I-fund did come out on top with a marginally higher return of 1.62%. Only six TSP Talk AutoTracker members had better returns for the week. The top three of those all did the same thing: They moved some or all of their S-fund holding to the G-fund on Wednesday while the market was peaking.

  4. Trading Day 12 Vs. 13-22

    For those of you who still have skin in the game, from May's Top-11 of Trading Day 12, here's how the remainder of the month played out.

    Our current May-2024 Trading Day 12 closed 5.19% MTD which would rank as 2nd best compared with the previous 63 years.

    Of the Top-11:

    11 of 11 times there was a higher close than trading day 12 to be found.
    6 Of 11 times, the month's highest close was within the next 3 days (55% chance higher close).

  5. TSP Talk - A day of rest

    The stock market took a day off from the recent rally up to new highs in the big three indices, and the Dow temporarily touched 40,000 for the first time ever, but we did see some profit talking as the day wore on, and that's nothing too surprising. The bulls still have the ball in their court and if the bears have any fire power in them, they haven't shown it yet. Bond yields and the dollar had relief rallies, but they may be finding support, which could make or break the rally in stocks depending ...
