The S&P and Dow closed only slightly off their lows of the day while the Nasdaq saw no final uptick. Breadth was terrible, every sector was in the red and the carnage throughout was vast. Such as yesterday, the only good thing that can be said about today is that it is over and behind us.
On top of the already shaken environment we had the escalating Israel situation, which only added fuel to the fire.
The damage today was severe and today's sell off will take quite a bit of time to repair. Luckily we have the bulk of earnings season around the corner and should we see any decent news, this may lead to a strong snap as shorts stumble over themselves looking to cover.
We took some nasty hits
today but like everyone in the same boat, will be dusting off and be ready
to battle it out again tomorrow.
