Thread: you won't believe how they did the ift's

Thumbs down you won't believe how they did the ift's

I submitted about 13 ift's all mailed on the same date but dated in consecutive order relative to dates. Here is what I got back for ift confirmations. Please remember at this point in time the Tsp account has been reduced significantly.

All the ift confirmations are dated on the same day by the TSP people. Remember I put in a variety of ift around 12 selections none the same % allocation mailed on the same day. I got back 5 letters that changed from the previous ift allocation but all 5 new ift's were exactly the same in %'s allocation - that's right 5 with the same percentage . No differences at all. The only change was the from the first letter. All the other letters for the ift's were exactly the same in their ift %'s

Example date of request 04/17/2008 time of request 16:08:29 - effective date 04/18/2008 - method of request: paper - that was the first letter. Here are the actual changes from the previous allocation which were correct.

    L income fund 10%
    G fund 35%
    f fund 10%
    C fund 15%
    S fund 15%
I fund 15% = 100% these were the changes from the previous allocations. I then proceeded to get 4 more ift confirmations that were processed at different time with exactly the same ift allocation %'s as listed above.

They sent my relative 4 letters on the same day with the following info as well as the above letter:

    1. Date of request 04/18/2008 - time of request 1003 est - effective date 04/18/2008 same %'s as above

    2. date of request 04/18/2008 - time of request 1030 est - effective 04/18/2008 same %'s as above

    3. date of request 04/18/2008 - time of request 1032 est - effective 04/18/2008 same % as above

    4. date of request 04/18/2008 - time of request 10:20:41 - effective date 04/18/2008 same % as above

all methods of request : paper

All 5 letters that were suppose to reflect different ift's that were submitted using the tsp-50 were identical in their %'s. I didn't send in 1 ift transfer that was the same. Also all the correspondence came yesterday - those 5 letter (except the 1st one which changed my tsp allocation) in effect were virtually identical in % allocation with no % ift changes implemented from submitted tsp-50 forms.

A person to person phone call to the thriftline, voice your complaint
and maybe you could squeeze out a answer as to why or they might
slip and tell us something we don't know yet.

I don't want anyone to get the idea that I am a perpetual complainer I just get really irritated when you simply can't believe the things going on around you. It borders on the surreal - you have to pinch yourself back to reality to think that organizations are run in a certain manner. Even though I only have minimal personal contact it drives me nuts when games are being played that influence me or more importantly people I care about. I could walk away from this tomorrow and never look back but it really has become the principle of the matter. Abuse of power has never set well with me.

    Best to ever one.

Again you won't believe the level of incompetence or done on purpose. TWICE the same identical ift's as the previous 4 on 04/18/08 listed above we posted to my relatives TSP account as of 04/21/08. So in effect they are saying that I posted 6 tsp identical changes in a row all of different dates - 4 on 04/18/08 and 2 on 04/21/08. Can someone please explain how and why I would post 6 identical IFT transfers?????

6 identical changes with different dates and times. The latest two posted 04/21/08 are identical to the ones posted on 04/18/08:
    L income: 10%
    G income: 35%
    F fund : 10%
    C fund : 15%
    S fund : 15%
    I fund : 15% = 100%

As a reminder I sent 13 different IFT's with none the same allocation.

    cayman

If it were me I would be all over these incompetent fools but my relative says leave it alone - the account is almost closed out so why bother with literally incompetent idiots who can't even transfer a sheet of paper to a computer.
