Would it be wise to move to the G fund even after a big up today?
100% G fund
We are seeing a little bounce in the bond market today. I'll use that to move from the F fund over to the G fund as this week's PPI and CPI loom.

Would it be wise to move to the G fund even after a big up today?
Welcome easyrydr! The move to the G fund was more of a fleeing from the F fund and nothing to do with stocks. I am still basically waiting for a good buying opportunity to get into stocks. We just have not had many chances to get in.
As far as getting out of the F fund, I believe bond yields will pause here and it could be a good buying opportunity, but I had to stop the bleeding just in case. It's probably a case of me capitulating at the bottom, but with the PPI and CPI reports due out the the next 2 days, why take a chance?
Too much info? Hope it helped.

I work for the government and am new to all this TSP thing , but was wondering if an individual as I am, can you move your funds around on a daily basis if you want to. I am looking to retire in about 9.5 yrs and would like to know the best places to go so I can make the most money. Just asking . Thanks
Yes, you can make up to one effective transfer per day if you get your change in before the noon ET deadline.

would like to know if think it would be ok to put about 90% on I fund just to see if things would be ok? I made alot of cash there for awhile .
The ebbchart would agree - for a few days anyway. Know your risk tolerance. The I fund can be rewarding but volatile.
