Default TSP taking a survey on their website

on the TSP website today, on the upper right hand side of the page at http://tsp.gov , they have started a web survey about the look of the site.

I went in, and on quesiton number 9, "What is the single thing you would do to improve the TSP website?" I put down "Give us more moves per month!!! "

I'm sure that's not what they wanted to hear, but I am putting it down anyway.

Go visit the site, and give the TSP your 2 cents worth!

p.s.- i'M SURE the TSP Thrift Board is paying a contractor big bucks to do this survey. Let them have it with all your feedback.

I suggested that they post in dollar figures the exact cost of a web redesign for a site that is actually pretty easy to use. How much did it cost to fix something that works just fine thank you? I'm sure those numbers will be hidden in their administrative costs somehow. We'll get a report but by then their agenda will already be put into action.

The survey of futility. I know a big pile of fertilizer when I see it and smell it. Much like their "comments period" on the limitations.

Oh well, I didn't use any bad words so I guess they won't get that satisfaction.

    Luv2,

I was lucky enough that my best friend is an HR person at another agency. She was able to steer me to the right publications and answer my occasional questions. Or I'd have been ****ed!

She says that most agency's HR departments have been consolidated and centralized until they can't keep up with the most basic demands. We probably won't see them having time to do education for years. She also says that OPM's official stance is that they've given us all the information in publications and a searchable website, so we should be able to educate ourselves.

I asked for at least a link to the basic FERS/CSRS information - found on an obscure link on the OPM pages of all places - because we need it to do retirement planning.
