    Default Timing is everything.

Has anybody else besides me noticed that since we changed over to the new system in June, that now all the monthly disbursements / stock share sales have now been moved to the 15th of the month?

And, more significantly, that on the 15th of the month, we’ve had down days almost every time?

Could it be that - selling the monthly payout’s worth of stock for a million plus retiree TSP members - could that be enough to affect the stock prices today?

    Inquiring minds want to know.

I’ll have to review the actual data, but it occurs to me I’ve seen more dune days on the 15th lately.

I haven't had an account update since 15 Dec - It appears this new entity is either not efficient in calculating accounts, or are in some sort of manipulation mode.........why can't they reconcile accounts daily like Schwab or the others. Peace and hoping for a better 2023.

Here we are, Feb 2023, and the withdrawal(s) problem remains the same. Bring back the old system.

The stock price manipulation hypothesis crossed my mind at one point. Having over a million people withdrawing funds from stocks at the same time may be seen as a run for the exit move but then i thought of all the retirement accounts, mutual funs, ETF, IRA accounts out there and that would seem like a drop in a bucket. I'm more inclined to believe the software contractor cut corners in order to profit handsomely.
