I am looking at tsp.gov and the prices are correct. C fund even and S fund -$0.16
The S&P finished even today and the DOW finished 12 pts higher...yet I checked the share prices on TSP and S fund was even (which I don't argue) but the C fund finished $0.16 lower (weird as how the DOW finished positive). This is the first time I have seen this happen.

Don't get too caught up in the daily moves of the Dow. It's only a basket of 30 stocks compared while S&P's has 500 (C) and DJ Wilshire's has 4500 (S). The media is to fault for that one. For some reason they always refer to 'the market' as the Dow which really isn't an accurate representation of the big picture.
Naw, not really weird if you think about it a bit-
C is the S&P 500- lots of stocks. Dow is just 30.
yes, I have seen it quite often. No big deal. Especially when the markets are pretty much lack-luster right now, trying to figure out if they want to move higher or lower in the future.
Also - don't forget about administrative expenses. They take those out of the various funds occasionally .. so the market index can appear to go up while the actual return goes down.
To get to the light at the end of the tunnel, you have to be willing to face the train.
