That's a good catch too..but something else is not right..Remember, this is suppose to be a 2012 VW..

Well, I think he actually shifts from "park" into "reverse" AFTER he decided not to leave.

(P.S.- or could it be that the words are in English and not German?)

And hey, I'd just drive in reverse for a while and make the odometer travel backwards anyway.

Nope on all guesses..it's as obvious as the mileage on the driveway

When the kid gets in the car and shuts the door, you can see that the writing is not on the driveway, behind the car. Then all the sudden it appears. Wa la!
