I am young enough to be one of the last on CSRS.
When I started...the lady in personnel told me that i was the first person she processed that had to take FERS....and then rubbed it in by saying "if you would have come in yesterday you could have chosen.....
Just trying to be a good steward of what God has blessed me with.

no condolances necessary.....with my opportunity to invest and manage my own money in stocks, I will have millions before i retire and will actually make more in retirement than i do working now......right......thats what they told me......

No doubt about it. It is hard to believe that numerous folks switched from CSRS to FERS on the two opportunities that the government pushed. As I recall, one opportunity was in about 1986 and the other about 2000.
Lady, just think about all that FREE money you get in your TSP every two weeks from FERS.
