Raining right now but the storms are passing still have a couple of hours before the people arrive!
A little rain never hurt a pool party. Just grab your drink and get in the pool!
Have fun!

Glad you had a good time.
Hey Nnuut,
I'm going to be getting a Bradley smoker soon. I've never owned a smoker before. Can you provide me with a recommendation on what woods are good with what meats? Also, do you have any rub recipes you'd be willing to share for ribs, pork shoulder, brisket, etc...? Thanks for any help you can give a noob.
Bradley Smokers look so COOL and probably do a really good job the easy way, some use wood pellets, I'm Old School and use Charcoal and chips or chunks, they are HIGH DOLLAR but I'd love to have one myself.
Good questions, look back in this thread, it's not too long and there are suggestions for types of wood to use for SMOKIN" and some DARN good recipes. You might search the internet there is gobs of great information here's a couple of pretty good ones.

If you find some good ones let us know, I'm always looking for new techniques and recipes. I love Oak and Mesquite for BEEF gives a nice strong smoked flavor to the meats, when cooking chickens I back off to Pecan or Peach for a more delicate flavor these two work for fish also. I can get most of these woods locally along with Apple which has a strong flavor like Oak, I have to buy Mesquite but it is the Best for Steaks in my opinion. Actually Smoking Meats is an art and there is a lot to it, that's what makes it fun!
time for pork ribs this weekend (2SLABS)
1/4 cup vinager
1/3 cup sherry
2 lemons
1, 12 oz beer
half stick butter
salt pepper to your taste
and me i like a dry rub to top it off
let them sit over night in fridge then a pecan smoke till ready
about 300
if you have company you might grab a few more slabs
with a side of stuffed peppers(cream cheese)
wrapped in bacon
and dipped in bbq
OH YEAH! That sounds GOOD.
To tell the truth I don't think I ever tasted a BAD Smoked Butt, have cooked them with just salt and pepper and they were good!
Mustard and salt!!! Sounds good!
