Thanks Tiger...Yeah the owner had a port-o-cooler on his patio that was running all night from when he had an OU football party watching the game..the appliance ran out of water and caught on fire which went right up into his attic...The rest is history..Negligence? maybe, but he lost his house and most of his belongings, so I won't judge.
And Burro...I didn't post this and explain the events to win your approval or likes, frankly I could give a damn what you think..I did what any level headed person would have done...Has nothing to do with humanity.

Thankful you and the kids came through this ok, Buster, with no worse than the 2d degree burns, which were/are no picnic, not at all. I suffered 2d degree burns on forearm a lot of years ago. sleepless nights, arm on icepacks 24/7 for first couple days. agony the instant I took arm off the icepacks. having had housefires immediately next door and directly across the street, when I wasn't home, I feel the intensity of the situation too. fortunately for my place, both places were put out before the fires completely destroyed the homes, tho the one across the street was unliveable for months, and the one next door unliveable for a few weeks.
Glad everyone is ok! Why do they call them minor burns? There is no such thing. I know! Get well soon!
Thanks...Scout and Alevin
It's funny...While my arm was baking, I really didn't feel the pain too much..I kept hosing off my whole body to stay cool at the same time as I was hosing off my roof, I should have realized I was cooking when the steam was coming off my clothes...I had several quarter size blisters that I kept moist with aloe and burn cream..All I have left now are some red scabs...so no worse the wear.

Damn, hotstuff! That is unbelievable! I was engaged to a fireman once and the stories he would tell me about fighting fires and the rescues they performed were amazing. He would say the intensity of the heat was so bad sometimes, he felt even in his protective gear that he was burning up. I can only imagine what you felt without the protective gear.
So glad you and the babies are safe and relatively unharmed. Use some aloe vera on the burns... it really does ease the pain some.
