Fed’s Rosengren says the US has survived the trade war and doesn’t need rate cuts

Boston Fed President Eric Rosengren said the U.S. has weathered the trade and global slowdown and doesn’t need lower interest rates.

Rosengren was one of three central bank officials to vote against Wednesday’s rate cut.

He expressed worries about financial stability, including inflated asset prices and potential problems in commercial real estate that have come with low rates.
