Thread: USPS - restructuring update

It's amazing what worker bees are expected to overcome with a smile on their faces. Flight Attendants and Pilots saw their pensions and benefits go poof and we the traveling public expected them to smile and welcome us on the planes. Our postal carrier was delivering mail until after 7pm last night because the scanners were malfunctioning at the sorting facility. While he wonders about his future and the years he's invested. And we need to compensate traders on Wall Street and executives at Fan+Fred to the tune of millions, just cuz. The Hamptons are humming. Chelsea gets a plum starter job at NBC. Where's the next park?

I love the USPS..they are a Proud tradition in this Country ever since the Pony Express...

But today it was announced on the news that Saturday Mail deliveries will become one for the History Books..No More Saturday Mail..as of August of this year...

Tis a sad day when that happens..actually bitter sweet..But If it means saving the Post Office from total collapse..then I support that action..

    Good luck USPS

This is just my opinion but I don't think the PMG has the authority to do
the things that were announced yesterday.

My opinion is that he's playing the only card he has...social engineering.

He's playing the american public through the media and the employees
    through announcements/meetings given by management.

His hoped for end result is a sh!t stir to try to get congress to act. But thats just my opinion... ne_nau.gif

You totally right but he's had his hands tied by Congress for years now. Maybe this will force the Republican controlled House of Congress to make legislation that the public and USPS want and need instead of do what they do best. (kick the can down the road)

I remember the days when you had your own box and had to go pick up your mail. Those boxes with their combination locks made for great piggy banks.
