Thread: Can someone help me, I’m new

  1. Default Can someone help me, I’m new

I finally just increased my allocation and transferred it to the C Fund, How can I tell if I made money or not and if so, how do I know how much when it’s in a percentage?

Are you familiar with TSP.gov, I assume you did your IFT online?
Anyway, once you have your online account, when you log in, it will take you to your Account Balance. There it will tell you %’s as well as $’s, in each fund.

If you want to view changes since a certain date, go to Activity Summary on the left hand side, and put in your desired dates.

    Hope this helps!

Yes I am on my account often to get more familiar. So I have 422$ in the C fund, with 5% going into it. How can I stay on top of it and make sure I’m doing everything right? I also have the app TSP Fund to see the progress but I am not sure how to read it.

TSPTalk.com is updated every day, after market closes and funds are updated.
TSP.gov is also updated every day.
So depending on how close you want to monitor, you pretty much can check it as often as you like.
Also, there are commentaries every day from TSPTalk, and the forums, and if you are so inclined, you can subscribe to one of the pay services for a small fee, and get their input.
Is there something specific that you wanted to track?
And speaking of tracking, you can j0in the AutoTracker for free, and compare your investment returns to other tsp’ers!
    Good Luck in your investing!!

Also, we have some spreadsheets you can download. Scout's spreadsheets will allow you to enter dollar mounts...
