    Seriously ... it was awesome.

    This is from Spaceweather.com

"A MAGNETIC EXPLOSION ON EARTH'S DOORSTEP: Yes, there are explosions in Earth’s magnetic field. They happen all the time. Gusts of solar wind press against Earth’s magnetosphere, squeezing lines of magnetic force together. The lines criss-cross and reconnect, literally exploding and propelling high energy particles toward Earth. Auroras are the afterglow of this process."

Are the aliens us? UFOs may be piloted by time-traveling humans, book argues

    By Leonard David
The great distances covered by visiting "aliens" may be ones of time rather than space, a recent book argues.

That reminds me of the theory that "Foo Fighters" from WWII are time-traveling drones sent by future historians to get authentic film footage from that era of history.

I would more likely expect visitors (alien or time-travelers) to be drones/machines given the distance/time required, harsh environments, etc. It would easier to send machines before organic life. Hmmm -- this is starting to sound more like science fiction than science.
