For iphone users, the www.tsptalk.com site is MUCH better than the mobile version.
Question for you mobile users.
Is there a preferred subdomain for accessing website on your mobile device?
Example: I have heard of sites using:
"m" - m.tsptalk.com
"mobile" - mobile.tsptalk.com
"wap" - wap.tsptalk.com
etc.
Mobile TSP Talk can currently be accessed thru www.tsptalk.mobi, but apparently the secure data in the premium services area does not work well.
I may be working on creating a subdomain to see if that helps, but I'm not sure what to use. Just "m" may be good for brevity purposes, but I want to use a standard. Apparently there really isn't one yet, or at least I haven't found it yet.
Thanks!
Tom

The full site for iPhones is the best. Hands down... no comparison imho. The full site on an iphone is exactly how it is on the desktop, easy to scroll, zoom in and out (there is some lost functionality between viewing on a desktop vs iphone though -- like attachements). And you know where everything is located. Versus the mobi version which makes it a little messy and difficult to scroll and find what you want. The mobi version also makes everything display in one gigantic column -- not aesthetically pleasing or as functional. Check it out at an apple store or I can post some iPhone screenshots.
Back to the functionality thing -- I can't post attachments for the iPhone, not even from the phone's photo library. The manage attachments icon that appears in tsptalk when we type replies shows the box to include attachments but doesn't let me click on the circle. So, I'll screenshot the photos and load 'em up on here when I get home tonite.

I like TSPTalk and I think most people here are well-intentioned but if I followed their advice, I'd be hunkered down in my basement with a thousand cans of tuna fish.
With today’s ever-evolving bandwidth expansions, using mobile sites is like using dial-up, it’s a dying breed. Most phone-based internet engines have a zoom-in feature, allowing you to find what you need quickly. CNBC has a mobi site and I hate it because it won’t load up the videos, so I had to reconfigure my phone to not accept mobi sites period. I haven’t bricked my phone yet, I just have the time for another hobby. My Sprint HTC EVO screen is the largest screen made for phones (same as Droid-X), with it I can do 95% of the stuff I could do with a computer.
The Android OS is still missing 2 critical components I need. A free editable MS Word app, and MS Silverlight.

I posted this on another thread yesterday, but this looks like a more appropriate place. I was looking into the Tapatalk mobile app recently and it looks promising. It is a forum viewing app that can be used at thousands of message boards. It should work with the TSP Talk message board if it is registered. It is a $3 app for iPhones and Android devices. I have no experience with this app; if anyone does, how is the experience? I have a DroidX, which works well browsing the full website, but an app may make subscribed threads and PMs a little easier to manage.

Thanks safeskies. I really have to get into this app thing. I am clueless.
I know about the iphone app for the this MB, but there didn't seem to be much of an interest.

I don't know about the iPhone only app, but Tapatalk sounds like you just register your forum for free on the website and anyone who wants to can go buy the app on either an Android or iPhone. If an individual buys the app, it is advertised to work on 10,000+ message boards across the web. If anyone knows someone who uses the app, a review would be much appreciated.
