I'll have to look into it. Thanks
Have you guys seen the TSP App named F.R.U. ???
It's pretty basic and to the point... Does TSPTalk.com have any intention of releasing their own iPhone App?
I'll have to look into it. Thanks
Tom

Thanks admin...
OK, after a little research, it sounds like any iPhone app must be written on a Mac (or some Apple product), which I don't currently own.
After a couple hundred responses, it looks like only a very small portion of our readers use an I phone.

Because of this, unfortunately, it doesn't appear to be something I will take on any time soon. At some point I may hire an Apple / Mac programmer to make one for us, but I will want to see more of a demand. If you know someone who might want to take this on, please let me know.
Next, I will look into how to create an app for a blackberry. I don't know if they are different. My surveys probably should have been more specific to see how many use one, but only 1% responded "other mobile device).
So, I will put the iphone app on the back burner and perhaps one day I'll get to it. Thanks for the suggestion.

I have an older Palm Treo. I have used it many times to look at TSP Talk when I'm not near a computer. I'm looking to upgrade to either the newest Palm device, or change carriers in order to get the Iphone. My Agency issued a BlackBerry to me, but it is restricted from getting third party apps, so a BlackBerry app probably wouldn't interest me. I guess if the app could be used on the Palm device and the BlackBerry I'd be interested.
I think if you took a poll, you'd find there's quite a lot of interest in accessing TSP Talk via mobile device. Your question was geared to what people currently use, not what we'd like to have available to us. I like the idea of the Iphone app. It would be another excuse I could use to drop Sprint and go to AT&T for the Iphone.
God bless the United States of America!
I admit that I'm a little ignorant when it comes to the mobile devices. What type of app would we be looking to create? Would it just be something that makes the site look better on the smaller displays, or would it be an actual function performing a task?
thanks
Tom

I really would like to get the iPhone but I do not like the mandatory $30 for internet access.
May the force be with us.
Yeah, that is kindof a bummer, but Sprint has similar charges for their plans, so it's pretty much even for me to switch. My main problem is we have time left on our Sprint contract for my son's phone, so I may have to pay for two plans until I can switch him over without a penalty.

It's not that I wouldn't make good use of the internet. An extra $30 a month just is not in the budget right now.
May the force be with us.
Iphone operating system and new Android os were recommended by my brokerage RJObrien to be the most stable operating systems for mobile web based trading. They said Blackberrys and windows mobile were buggy and iffy. Android (by Google) looks to have great potential and is available on some new Sprint, Verizon and T-mobile phones.
Looks like all 'smart phones' require that additional $30 data service. And an additional $30 if you want to 'tether' or use the 'phone as modem'.
Hey Admin... I'm going to get with Apple Development Center and mess around and try to make an app. I'm not promising anything... but after i finish up this Business Law class, my getaway to Singapore... I might have some free time...
Cool! Thanks
