You were quite the character Burro, a free spirit so to speak. May you Rest in Eternal Peace.
It is with great sorrow that I announce the passing of our mutual friend Matt Shell (aka burrocrat) at 5:45pm on August 7th.
Some of his favorites things included poker, camping, silver, Survivor, guns, women, golfing with his son, Jockey boxer briefs, t*tt*es and getting banned by Tom(not necessarily in that order).
My daughter and I had the pleasure of meeting him earlier this year in North Dakota. He was kind and attentive to me and my daughter and an incredibly loving father to his son. I can still hear my daughter calling out “Hey Flooorrrr Matttt” to which he replied “Yes Miss Olivia”.
I could not have met a better man and although our time was short, I am forever grateful that we had the opportunity to meet. Words cannot express how much he will be missed.

Thanks JP.
Many times someone that has been a participant here has just disappeared and we never find what happened. Burro was a character for sure. His posts could be informative or have you shaking your head saying "he didn't just say that?" Many will miss his eclectic humor.
May the force be with us.
I haven't been around the Forum long, but it's sad to hear of the passing of a long time forum member. He seems too young to have passed from this photo, my thoughts go out to his family. RIP Burrocrat
I counted Matt as true friend. Jp and I became friends later through him, and I am thankful for both of them that they had finally met in person and discovered the real person(s) behind the online personas. He was a rock for me last year in the aftermath of the trauma of losing my only brother to fatal shooting a little over a year ago. RIP Matt, you are in the arms now of the One who created you, loved you and saved you for all eternity to be with Him.

Sad news, he was one of a kind and a very intelligent person with a big heart. I miss his banter and sense of humor. RIP Burrocrat.
Wow- I'm speechless.
Greatest sense of humor I ever encountered.
Will be terribly missed.
A salute to you Burro- travel well, my friend.
Very sad. Thanks for letting us know, jpcavin.
He was one of a kind and will be missed.
