Re: TSP Talk Silver Coins / "Rounds"
Since Burro invited me to join in, here goes... Honestly, I think it's a cool idea, and I'd gladly buy 2-4 coins as a novelty, but I don't think I'm ready to drop $500 on it. I've been DCAing into fake silver (SLV) for a few months now. Maybe I should sell that and buy some of this here pricier real silver. Hmm. My mind is decidedly undecided at this point.

i do still have that magic marker i used to make my first mug with and plenty of fruit of the looms laying around so we can work something out.
Sounds good
Re: TSP Talk Silver Coins / "Rounds"
ok, updating the potential interest list for a purchase 500 oz of custom minted tsptalk silver 1 oz rounds at $1.50 over spot with approx $2,000 original die fee charge:
tsptalk: 50
burro: 25
james: 25, maybe more
sensei: 4, maybe more if he hawks his grandpa's legacy
rlundy: 25
danny: 20, and he's right there are chartist's on this sight that can help time the purchase for max return
bronco07: 25
swavet: 20, maybe more if he can hawk his stamp collection
birchtree: 0, because he's mad at his brother for stealing his lunch money, but maybe
so that's 194/500. we're making good progress here. did i get that right? update pledge quantities or remove yourself from the list if i misheard you. remember, i won't ever touch any of it except my money i send to tom for the collective and whatever i get back in silver after paying my share and tom divvies it up minus expenses.
also, if you have silver currently in any form i suggest you consider holding it. the nwt mint will buy it back at current spot and melt it down and stamp you new rounds + premium, but that is a loser because you send in silver and get back less silver in a different form. i won't do that because i like my current silver pieces too much, each one has a history.
almost 40% of the way there, i think we can i think we can.
