I forgot to add fwiw Windows 10 home v21H1, Google Chrome v 102.0.5005.63
Wanted to post my experience. But, where. So many threads. I chose this one. No particular reason.
In spite of what I posted about waiting, I created a new account on 2 Jun 22. I did not have to...
FWIW, today a paper check emerged from SO's pile of correspondence. Dated 4/21/22, no idea when it was received. Answer to NASA's long ago question and for anyone else's information. So I got the...
I'm gonna wait a while. Someone stated, maybe on their own thread, that they used their previous username and logged in successfully. My usual "permanent periodic withdrawal" usually takes place...

Probably tastes like LRP from the 60s.
Moved to 100% G this evening. I think. Yeah, I know this will happen at COB tomorrow. I say I think because I have not gotten the confirmation e-mail yet. In the past this usually happens very...
I received a refund a couple days ago. I submitted for both spouse and myself and both of us got a confirmation email but so far only one deposit. Should both of us get the refund on a self+1...
IIRC no refund. That was part of the discussion with wife at retirement time. Same thing at military retirement time (25 years ago) and she understood, signed the papers and bought a term life policy...
I would swear this reimbursement thing was talked about in another thread but no matter.
I never followed up on the 2019 reimbursement. I got it for 2020. Today I got a reminder from HealthEquity,...
Took me a while to find the patio. I swear their used to be a home repairs thread under the lounge or miscellaneous. Whatever.

I would rather stay on standard time mainly because because that make TSP cut off 1000 instead of 0900 here.
And, fwiw, today was the vernal equinox at my house at about 1237.

Since I'm talking Chrysler 6 bangers, in my younger days my Dad owned a 1 1/2 ton 49 Dodge truck with a flathead 6. Nice truck, 5 window, 2 speed rear axle. Traded it for a 55 Dodge, same size with a...
Now that the gloomy account talk is out of the way, MOPAR cars with slant 6s. My sisters boyfriend had a mid 60s Valiant convertible with a slant 6 and a four speed. I thought that was a great idea...
Account talk so I should talk about account. I moved 15% each to C and S in November. Only lost about 5% since then. Age old advice is “don’t sell at a loss” but I have passed my “in my mind” loss...
My Mom had a 73 Scamp with a slant 6. Somewhere in the 80s the oil pressure light started coming on after you drove it a few miles. Only had about 60K on it. Never got to checking it out as I had...

Update on taxes and SS payments.
Short recap, I retired 31 Dec 18 with 21+ years fed service at 66 yo. I didn’t have enough withholding taken out of the OPM amount and ended up owing big time. ...
FWIW. I finally accepted the default with holding, printed the forms, had them notarized and the credit union faxed them. Then after I saw the transaction at TSP.gov and a few days later when it...
