    My most recent Social Security statement states that by 2035 only about 80% of your benefit can be paid. So that would be another factor to take it earlier rather than later.

    Regarding A: A transfer from TSP to an IRA incurs no tax. Not sure what you mean by 100%. You can transfer any % of your TSP to an IRA. When the new rules kick in you won't be limited to two...

    I was looking at the date of my prior annual statements and they all show early April. Your 4th quarter statement for 2017 was available in early January.

    When this theory is wrong, it's wrong big time. In 2008 the NFC won and the S&P dropped 38%. In 2013 the AFC won and the market went up 29%. No thanks. :eek:
