Now that is what I'm talking about. Mine is so pathetic, that is why I have to follow I_T's Investment Strategies.

JTH...I am trying to read up on technical analysis and have noticed you seem to be knowledgeable in the TA arena.
What do you utilize for time periods when tracking our TSP funds with the various...
I_T posted this on his thread and I intend to make my union president aware of this and try to get our union active in getting some potential TSP changes.

"The FRTIB also consults with the...

Amen to that. I quit 14+ yrs ago using that same attitude, no drugs or stop-smoking aids needed. Just cold turkey. Dis-associate yourself with the environments and situations that lead you to...
Wow, if anything close to that can happen for me, I will have gained nearly $12K. That is insane! :D
To add to what I already stated, why is it that out TSP funds are modeled after ETS's but we can't manage them as such? That is what we need to push for along with an extra IFT!
We need to...
That sounds like a great idea, although it would take everyone on this mb to even make an impact. Another option would be to allow our moves to be effective the moment we place them instead of the...
Can it be? Don't want to jinx it, but could this be an up day?
Amen to that, it is hard watching investments take a dive. We can only trust that the moves we have followed will turn and move positive, thus changing our (emotions) again.
I've found it rather entertaining the past two days reading all the bantering going on. It is interesting, because from everything that I have read or heard as traders we are best to leave human...
Thanks for the info Jp, will definitely take a look at it tonight. Good luck on all your TSP moves! I hope to continue gathering knowldege here.
I have been looking to get started in ETF's & have researched the various online brokers. Some offer comission-free ETF trades, but w/restrictions. Looking for recommendations! When I get started, I...
Thanks I hope my signature comes to fruition! As for trying to make the IFT decisions yourself, I've been there & made huge errors! Lost about 1/2 of my TSP balance during 08 down cycle in the "I". ...
Sounds like you made the wise decision. It's tempting, but as I have found out the hard way in the past, it's best to follow a proven plan like IT's.
Thanks a bunch, you clarified that for me. I just want to make sure and get all the possible money I can working for me during any upward movement. :D
JTH,
Noticed this IFT you posted for COB 11/1/10. If you were to make an IFT COB today removing your 15% G to C/S or I, how would that affect your current 85% C? Would this be a smart move if...
So if you were in my position, you would take the 10% in G and move over to C/S/I? Will that 10% be the all that ends up buying in @ today share price? Sorry, just trying to get totally accustomed...
I have an IFT question for you BT! Beginning today, I was sitting at 10% - G & 30% C/S/I. I would like to know if I had moved to a 35/35/30 - C/S/I, would that re-balance my existing positions to...
Thanks for the info KevinD. What setting do you use for the EMA's to chart the TSP's?
Trying to learn about chart reading and have a basic question regarding the TSP funds.
From what I'm seeing, the standard MA is 50/200.
What are the recommended MA settings to properly make...
Sitting in quite a difficult situation here with only 1 IFT at my disposal. Currently sitting @ 30% in C,S & I and 10% in G. Would love to sit tight and wait for a push higher, but these last few...
Thank you Nasa1974, you said exactly how I feel. I too get caught up in trying to capture the biggest gains possible and lose focus of what my risk tolerance is. We do have to figure out what our...
Unfortunately, that will have to be a chance I take. I am in this for the long haul and will have to take what I can. That is why I'm here, to learn what others think and make my decisions with a...
Went 100% S on Tuesday @ $18.31, would like to get around 5% before getting back to safety of G. It would be great to get a up rally before the summer dumps.
Thank you CC,
The SS have definitely become a key signal for me on deciding when to move in/out. I am patiently awaiting the signal to buy again and make my headlong move back into the "S".
