I thought Ebb doesn't look at current news, Fair Value, etc. Aren't his charts based only on past history? Am I wrong on this?

Market timing systems generally don't do as well in a raging bull market like we've had the past two weeks. This won't continue.
He still handily beat the C & S fund last month.
Must be a good time to buy Citi. If you can hold it for two years you should do well.
I was agreeing with you on your premise that a year or two of backtesting is not sufficient. What I was trying to say is it is easy to come up with a system that works over the past year, or more. ...
That's true. It's easy to come up with a system that worked for a year or two. How about buying at Friday's close and selling at Monday's close. You would have made out like a bandit in 2007 but...
Or perhaps he did .50% precisely because of Greenspan going on 60 Minutes prior to the biggest day of Bernanke's career.
Keep it clean Fabijo.
One day a Pirate and a bartender were talking to each other in a bar. The Bartender asked the pirate “Where did ya get that peg leg from?”
The Pirate responded “We were sailing the seas when a big...
When on vacation you might consider being in the stock funds October - May, and in the bond funds June - September. This are the historically strong months.

How sweet it is.:)
The F-fund was up 11 percent in 2000. So the ebbchart should have done pretty good on the safehaven days.
Sell in May and go away is a good strategy. Stocks tend to go down in the Summer months due to summer vacations. I wouldn't put much faith in the 7th year of decade strategy. I can see no logical...
I was listening to some financial guru (I believe his name was Edelman??) on the radio this weekend and he said the L-funds stands for Loser Funds. His point was the bond portion of the funds really...
Mid September is a historically bad time for the markets.:(
Greenspan said on 60 Minutes he did his job when he mislead the American people.
I'm still not convinced there is any transaction fee whatsover for each individual account. It's all done electronically. How do we know they are not paying a set fee?
I agree. Builder's used to be satisfied w/making $100,000 per year. Now they want millions. The houses are built by illegals, not professionals. My neighbor house had the cabinets glued onto the...
Of course that means you might hit that many in a row too.:)
Anybody see the Greenspan interview on 60 Minutes last night? He was surprisingly lucid. He didn't come right out and say he purposely would lie to Congress under oath, but he did say he would...
Well TSP is supposed to have the lowest costs out there. Continuing with the low cost theme...........:p
