Sorry to be dense, but how does this correlate to the G Fund?

Assuming a 3-fund portfolio, is there any good reason not to allocate all of one's bond $$ to the G Fund, and eliminate the F Fund altogether?
Thanks for all the advice. I think my tolerance for risk is pretty low. My fear is not being able to recoup large losses by the time I retire. Still undecided.
