Hmm, everything seemed to work for me - FF 63.0.1.

I guess it could be any number of things.

Imo, there are multiple problems. Multiple-problem situations can be extremely difficult to troubleshoot ... and troubleshooting them can become an artform as well as a technical problem.

As any troubleshooter (auto, computer, mobile phone, electrician, etc.) will tell you, intermittent problems can be extremely difficult as well.

Took me several months to find the cause of a recurring "random" bsod problem with my laptop, for example. Learned a lot.

Months ago, I noticed a change when entering a post. When I double-clicked a word in a message I was preparing, I was unable to just start typing over that highlighted word in order to replace that word with a new one. I would have to delete the highlighted word first. Unless I'm mistaken, this didn't use to happen.

If the word is highlighted by painting it with the left-click-hold mouse method, I am able to type over the word just fine.

This is/was no big deal, but it may aid in troubleshooting ... maybe I'll google it myself.

But this sounds like some diagnostic software is needed. Smells like one problem may be an intermittent communication issue between us and the servers. I'll dig deeper this weekend.

Anyway, I said all that to post this:

Anyone else can chime in too.

    Thanks.
Using the work computer I do not have administrative rights so upgrades are problematic sometimes. I believe Firefox is do an upgrade soon.

I did try Edge from home last night and it seems things worked OK. However, I haven't tried attachments or pictures yet. I logged in this morning at work using Chrome and things seem fine.

**I just clicked the "go advanced" button and I got the "error" message in Chrome but selecting the "preview post" worked fine.

Edit seems to work fine. Just hit "go advance" and no problem.

I'll keep playing around when I have time and see what happens.

I have that issue as well with Chrome. That's when I move to FF (when I need the "go advanced" option).

Maybe I should research that instead of using the go around.

    Thanks!

Someone said the latest version of Chrome is not having that "go advanced" issue. v. 70.0.3538.102

    I will try it later.

That's the version I have and I just clicked on the "go advance" and it worked normal. So then I clicked on "preview post" and I got the error message. Very strange.
