Bad news sends investors to the sidelines & security, and the exit is so sudden us TSPers are left holding the bag, so I wouldn't sweat these events.
Here's a chart of the DOW Industrials back in 1939. After May, it took a year to recover prices, but once they broke above 150.00 they never looked back, it was one hell-of-ah bull run...
