Twitter moods can predict the stock market

"Researchers at Indiana University's School of Informatics have published a provocative paper showing that movements in the stock market can be predicted with a high degree of accuracy by data drawn from the social network Twitter."

An 87% accuracy rate is impressive. I'm not surprised that something that can measure the mood of the country is successful at predicting the buying and selling on Wall Street. And since the little guy can't measure that whole data stream does that mean it's just one more tool for da boyz?

BTW, I thought the story right next to this one (t-shirts) was a hoot!
