Time set needed to resetIFT'sthat day , EST
I had reset my TSP. gov account, then got to update my tsptalk awhile later. I am curious to know If Anyone knows what time an IFT needs to be by to till count for having your IFT's changed that day. I had heard a lot of markets falling (again) and I had moved all by 6:30am, EST. Will I have dodged the drop it took today?
Or will I just loose out when we get a dead cat bounce? :notrust:
Re: Time set needed to resetIFT'sthat day , EST
Before 12:00 ET = COB transaction. After 12:00 ET = following day's COB.
If you made your IFT at 6:30 ET today (Monday) it would not have moved for today's market action. You will buy / sell at today's COB closing share prices and tomorrow you'll be in your new allocation.

No. Unfortunately.

You will miss the bounce if we bounce tomorrow. Unfortunately.
Although you framed your questions as "either/or;" the answer is ... more complicated.
