TSP ThriftLine’s IFT's Down
This may have been posted elsewhere, but I wanted it more visible in its own thread. This is from tsp.gov...
Interfund Transfers and the ThriftLine
Due to a technical issue, interfund transfers are currently unavailable on the ThriftLine’s automated system. We are working to resolve the issue and apologize for the inconvenience. In the meantime, you may complete interfund transfers by choosing option 3 from the ThriftLine’s main menu to speak to a Participant Service Representative. You may also log into My Account and visit “Online Transactions.”
Re: TSP ThriftLine’s IFT's Down
I tried a pseudo IFT and it worked. Maybe it is fixed now.

Interesting.
I wonder what the hell is going in behind the curtain today.
"Due to a technical issue...." always seem to precede big moves one way or the other, by the powers that control all the money.
Anybody want to guess what is really happening?

Conspiracy theory time!

Re: TSP ThriftLine’s IFT's Down
With 2 IFT's a month and a noon EST deadline it would be impossible to be a swing trader.

I'm pretty sure that's what most of us are here?

Re: TSP ThriftLine’s IFT's Down
Well, I guess a lot folks consider swing trading as lasting 1-4 days. I prefer this definition myself:
"Swing Trading is a short term trading method that can be used when trading stocks and options. Whereas Day Trading positions last less than one day, Swing Trading positions typically last two to six days, but may last as long as two weeks."

I consider myself a swing trader, but I do have trades that last a month or so some times..............
Re: TSP ThriftLine’s IFT's Down
I consider swing trading: trading that not day trading, and not investing.

Well I guess I think of a swing trader as someone that moves around more than twice a month but less then daily. That and the noon cutoff messes things up.
