Royals vs. Mets World Series
So for those who follow baseball, or just sports in general, who do you "want" to win the World Series, and who do you "think" will win the world series?
Personally, I have nothing against either team and will root for either of them and be happy with the results. I think the Royals overall will take the crown this year after coming so close last year and they don't rely heavy on the long-ball. Mets though, wow, what a year. It's been a fun post-season to watch!

I don't have a dog in the fight.
But, I'm predicting the Royals in 6 because I like KC BBQ.
Re: Royals vs. Mets World Series
Not a bad start for Kansas City I'd say! 2-0 and I believe both games were won at home for them. I do not think the Mets will get swept, I still think they can squeak out 2 wins in this series, but KC is looking good. Someone's 29/30 years World Series victory drought is about to end.
Re: Royals vs. Mets World Series
The last time the Met's won the World Series, in '86, they also lost the first 2 games - and they were at home. So I think they got the Royals right where they want them. :D :1244:
Re: Royals vs. Mets World Series
Mets started off w/ an early lead tonight in the game, but those darn Royals are fighters, that's for sure! Can they close it out in the next game? Or do the Mets pull of the unlikely, but possible 3 game comeback?!

Fat lady hasn't sung yet. Ya gotta believe!
Re: Royals vs. Mets World Series
Game is tied 2-2 in the 10th inning! Down to the wire if the Royals wanna take the series crown tonight!
Re: Royals vs. Mets World Series
That was an amazing season for both teams, and def congrats to Kansas City on the victory! I believe they'll be good again next year no doubt. Baseball I think is the toughest sport to repeat in with so few teams making it to the post-season.
As for the Mets, I know it was just a year or 2 ago the fans were ready to jump ship, but they had a very nice turn-around season and will hopefully call that momentum into next year. The NL is tough and they were able to brag over teams like Chicago, St. Louis, LA, San Fran, all teams that had a great year or one last year.
