Is there anything new or different?

Most of this info is pretty old.

Birch, I did suggest to one parent who's child didn't want to live at home while attending a local college and wanted the "dorm experience" to get the child in to the military (guard, reserve, active) where they would get lots of "dorm experience". Education benefits too.

The discussion of saving for college came up today at work amongst several younger coworkers. I had nothing to add, realizing that I had done nothing for my grand children as I had intended several years ago.


The coworker was looking in to 529 plans but had many questions and doubts.


Now I have three grand children and have done nothing. I am fishing for suggestions.
