The principles that made this country great have not changed, but so many are choosing to disregard those principles. If Freedom and Liberty are infringed upon, we all suffer in some way. I shutter to think so many have forgotten this and am just dumbfounded that more and more apparently never knew. What we have is ours to lose.

We haven't had a pandemic on this scale in over a century...but the Supreme Court did in fact establish that the Gov't can issue vaccine mandates during emergencies.
For the most part, state gov't took the lead, making mandates for smallpox and polio, which is why we eradicated those diseases....because all states participated.
If a handful of states don't make vaccine mandates, the end result would certainly be that the virus would continue to mutate and spread...so good luck on not having the Fed Gov't at some point force the hand of any rouge states that would go against the mandate.

I should have put 'Evil Feds' in quotes. It was a joke, sarcasm...

Hmmmm, nice article. Kinda like this section - which maps very closely to what I intended in my post:

In a far darker chapter, the Jacobson decision also provided judicial cover for a Virginia law that authorized the involuntary sterilization of “feeble-minded” individuals in state mental institutions. In the 1920s, eugenics enjoyed wide support in scientific and medical circles, and the Supreme Court justices were not immune.

In the infamous 1927 case Buck v. Bell, the Supreme Court accepted the questionable “facts” presented in the lower court cases that a young Virginia woman named Carrie Bell hailed from a long line of “mental defectives” whose offspring were a burden on public welfare.

“The principle that sustains compulsory vaccination is broad enough to cover cutting the Fallopian tubes (Jacobson v Massachusetts, 197 US 11). Three generations of imbeciles are enough,” wrote Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes in a chilling opinion.

The Buck decision opened the floodgates and by 1930, a total of 24 states had passed involuntary sterilization laws and around 60,000 women were ultimately sterilized under these statutes.

“Buck v. Bell is the most extreme and barbaric example of the Supreme Court justifying a law in the name of public health,” says Sanders.
I don't want to go there. As someone who is a "physical defective" it would have been a shame to have been forcibly aborted or had my mother/father forcibly sterilized per some political movement of the moment at the time of my birth. A real shame.
Lookin' up at the 'G Fund'!!!

We wouldn't need mandates if everyone just did the right thing and got the vaccine. Now because of the righteous I have my liberties and freedoms more kids are getting the virus, getting hospitalized and some unfortunately are dying. Step up and do the right thing. That means getting a shot that has been approved for Covid not something that has been approved to deworm; horses, cows & dogs. I never thought so many people in this Country would go stupid.
May the force be with us.
