Thread: Trump Tweets Index

    Default Trump Tweets Index

JP Morgan has created an index to track the effect of Trump’s tweets on financial markets: ‘Volfefe index’

KEY POINTSTrump’s market-moving tweets most often address trade and monetary policy, with keywords including “China,” “billion” and “products.”

J.P. Morgan’s “Volfefe Index,” named after Trump’s infamous and still mysterious “covfefe” tweet, explains a measurable fraction of the moves in implied rate volatility for 2-year and 5-year Treasurys.

Out of about 4,000 non-retweets by Trump occurring during market hours from 2018 to the present, only 146 moved the market.

It means "I will stand up". I have a coffee cup with "Hot Covfefe" stamped on it.

And now TSP will create a new TSP fund to reflect an investment vehicle based on this Trump Tweet Index fund.

The fund will reflect not only the effect of Trump Tweets in real time, it’s substance will change over time, just like the “L “ family of funds; will have a large international component as those Trump Tweets reverberate around the world, and crash International markets “I”. And last, but not least, it will be focused on the actual ECONOMICS of world markets, including an emphasis on large banking or brokerage companies. JP Morgan; American Express, all the internet stock trading companies, etc. their superior economic power make up an “E” fund of a sorts.

It will become know as the Trump Tweet TSP “L-I-E” fund.

I'm convinced that he is manipulating the market. Like you said, it moves long or short based on his tweets. I had NFLX stock that got stopped out after it fell this morning. Then he tweeted and it shot up $10/share. It made me sick.

    Is today Saturday again?
