The system seemed to happily accept $Y as the amount, and every time I logged into MyPay after that, it would display a pending transaction for $Y (no mention of $X anywhere) for Roth TSP. Just for kicks, I went back to the election page and entered $Y a couple more times. After Feb 1 rolled around, it showed $X, not $Y! I never received an error or any rejection of the $Y allocation. This is easy enough to manage now that I know the limitation in the system and there's still ten months left to fiddle with. It just means I have to think a little harder before I press "Save". I've had pretty horrible experiences with the "Ask Mypay" method of feedback - I would typically get responses that ignored my issue -- eg "TSP account allocations become effective beginning on the first of the month, you will see you allocation changed then" <--- I already know this, but they completely ignored my point that it is being changed to $X, not $Y. Does anyone have suggestions for a more effective means to communicate? I don't really feel a need to "complain" so much as just a desire to let the programmers know there's a problem. I'm sure not all TSPers read this forum and could be thoroughly confused by what's happening.
