Really interesting Jim Cramer Tweets this afternoon. He is watching VIX products going down followed by Margin calls which bring the market up. He says the next one at 2:45 could be big.

TSP Talk: Election nerves and COVID concerns

by tsptalk on Today at 01:11 AM
Stocks start the new week very similarly to how it started last week. The only difference may have been that last Monday the indices closed near their lows of the day where yesterday we actually did some some buying into the close, but it was a very negative day nonetheless. The S&P 500 lost 64-points, and last Monday it was -57. The Dow lost 650-points - more than 300 off the low of the day. Perhaps the good news from last week was that the sell off on Monday the 19th turned out to

TSP Talk: Market stabilizes despite no stimulus deal in sight

by tsptalk on Yesterday at 01:11 AM
Stocks were mixed and choppy on Friday but by the close the bulls won the battle and made a positive reversal pattern in the process, creating a possible good set up for stocks early this week. No one seems overly excited to buy stocks right now, but that may be what keeps the market climbing the wall of worry, and there certainly is a lot of worrying out there. The Dow lost 28-points but most of the indices closed with solid gains.

TSP Talk: Positve reversal on key support lines

by tsptalk on 10-23-2020 at 01:11 AM
Stocks opened slightly lower on Thursday after the overnight futures scare on the election interference news. However, a nice positive reversal sent the indices higher, closing near the highs of the day. The Dow gained 153-points, about the same percentage as the S&P 500, while the Nasdaq lagged and small caps soared. Bonds were hit hard as yields hit a 4-month high.

TSP Talk: Another choppy day waiting for a deal

by tsptalk on 10-22-2020 at 01:12 AM
It was a very choppy day for stocks on Wednesday as the indices alternated between gains and losses all day, with a familiar late sell off to end the day. The indices closed near their lows of the day although the losses were modest. The problem is that the charts are starting to deteriorate some, although they're not dead yet. The Dow lost 98-points, while small caps lagged, and bonds were down again, testing their recent lows.

TSP Talk: Stocks rally, but bears still putting on the pressure

by tsptalk on 10-21-2020 at 01:09 AM
A 113-point gain the Dow and +16 on the S&P 500 is nothing to sneeze at, but put in context, it wasn't that great of a day for stocks. It was another volatile day on Wall Street with bulls giving up another big early gain. The S&P was up about 50-points at the high so it lost 1% from the early afternoon high into the close. It's starting to get repetitious. Small caps lagged and bonds were down.
