Really interesting Jim Cramer Tweets this afternoon. He is watching VIX products going down followed by Margin calls which bring the market up. He says the next one at 2:45 could be big.

TSP Talk: Stocks rally, but bears still putting on the pressure

by tsptalk on Today at 01:09 AM
A 113-point gain the Dow and +16 on the S&P 500 is nothing to sneeze at, but put in context, it wasn't that great of a day for stocks. It was another volatile day on Wall Street with bulls giving up another big early gain. The S&P was up about 50-points at the high so it lost 1% from the early afternoon high into the close. It's starting to get repetitious. Small caps lagged and bonds were down.

TSP Talk: Another strong open fails

by tsptalk on Yesterday at 01:07 AM
It was another ugly negative reversal day for stocks yesterday after a strong morning rally fell apart, and the selling intensified into the close. The Dow ended the day down 411-points on concerns of Nancy Pelosi's 2-day deadline on reaching a stimulus deal before the election. So the chess game continues.

TSP Talk: Stock fall late on options expiration Friday

by tsptalk on 10-19-2020 at 01:11 AM
Stocks were well on their way to breaking a 3-day losing streak on Friday, but a last hour jolt hit the market and the indices did a swan dive into the close. The Dow did close up 112-points, but that was 240-points off the highs, and the S&P 500 gave up a 30- point gain to close flat. The Nasdaq lagged losing 42-points, or 0.36%, about the same as our S-fund. The I-fund held onto a good gain bit the late selling on Friday may catch up to it in today's prices.

TSP Talk: Huge positive reversal

by tsptalk on 10-16-2020 at 01:11 AM
Stocks were getting clobbered early on Thursday but they bounced back fiercely to close well of their lows, and in the case of the small caps, into positive territory. The Dow lost 20-points, gaining back nearly all of a 300-point early loss. The Transports put in a second big day to closed at an all time high.

TSP Talk: Pullback in progress, one gap filled

by tsptalk on 10-15-2020 at 01:11 AM
After Monday's big rally, we have now seen back to back moderate losses in the indices which, given how far stocks have come since the late September lows, is not the worst thing for the market to see at this time. We did see a couple of double top pullbacks in some charts, but that's all typical action and so far there hasn't been any damage done. The Dow lost 166-points on the day and the losses were fairly equally distributed among the indices, although the Transports actually had a solid positive
