Really interesting Jim Cramer Tweets this afternoon. He is watching VIX products going down followed by Margin calls which bring the market up. He says the next one at 2:45 could be big.

TSP Talk: The bears are still hibernating

by tsptalk on 01-22-2021 at 02:11 AM
Stocks were mixed on Thursday with Dow slipping 12-points and the small caps taking a rare hit, while the S&P 500 was flat, and the Nasdaq was up sharply. The bears seem to be lurking, and waiting for the occasional scrap to be thrown their way, as in the case of small caps yesterday, but for the most part the bulls have remained fully in charge. Bonds were down, as was the dollar.

TSP Talk: Valuations vs. stimulus

by tsptalk on 01-21-2021 at 02:11 AM
Stocks rallied again yesterday with the Dow rallying 260-points and the Nasdaq leading the way with a gain of nearly 2%. Small caps lagged a bit but still had another solid day. Bonds were flat, as was the dollar. The bulls are loving it but the question I keep asking is how many times can the market rally on the stimulus? It doesn't seem like a real market, but it continues to work.

TSP Talk: Is it time to sell the news?

by tsptalk on 01-20-2021 at 02:11 AM
Modest gains for the Dow, and solid gains elsewhere on Tuesday after last week's pre-holiday selling. The Dow added 116-points and once again it was the small caps and particularly the Nasdaq taking the lead on the upside. After the bell we got the first FAANG stock to report earnings and the stock was flying. Bonds rallied and the dollar dipped again.

TSP Talk: Stocks struggle in week two

by tsptalk on 01-19-2021 at 02:09 AM
Last week ended with some selling in most of the major indices in what may have been a pre-holiday reversal. On Friday the Dow lost 177-points, and we saw losses in the S&P 500, Nasdaq, the Transports, and the small caps, but for the week it was mixed as the small caps held onto a moderate gain while most of the other stock market indices were down. Bonds were up on Friday, and for the week.

TSP Talk: Small caps in a league of their own

by tsptalk on 01-15-2021 at 02:11 AM
Stocks were mixed again yesterday, but only because the invincible small caps refuse to fall. The Transportation Index was also up yesterday, but other than that the Dow, S&P 500, and Nasdaq were down on the day, yet internally there was a lot of strength under the surface. The Dow lost 69-points, and the S&P 500 is actually down for the week, but money seems to go somewhere everyday, as cash is being treated like the plague.
