So, I’m reading in Lance Roberts’ Bull/Bear report from yesterday that there are now several contrarian indicators suggesting a bear market rally is due. Is this the week? If that CPI report on Thursday is favorable, as in worse for the working man/woman, then is the rally on for Thursday/Friday?

The next rate hike is pretty much assured, but if the CPI shows the fed is finally starting to “break something” then there might be cause to slow down the tightening.

I'm not waiting around for a pivot point. I'm taking some gains today and going back to 100% G.

    Moving a little into S Fund. 20% S, 80% G.

The market likes what Powell is saying apparently.

I moved my little 20% in S Fund to G today. I'm 100% G Fund as of COB. I'm determined to hold a positive return.

.36% or better for the year looks good to me at the moment

The Fed doesn't want to see a market rally, IMO, so, sell the rally they say.

I like your thinking. Don't fight the Fed might be the most successful trading philosophy.

The FED can't care about 'the market'.
They are paid to care about the value of your money.

If there is inflation outside the margin they will initiate deflation to bring it back in line. If the Federal Gubmint initiats policies that are inflationary, then the FED will implement policies that are deflationary. Someone should tell the CongressCritters and the Administration the well known maxim you quoted: "Don't fight the FED!!!". I think the FED is a bit tired of priming the pump when the Treasury is busy borrowing money to toss into the crowds.

    Simple
Lookin' up at the 'G Fund'!!!

    Looking for a little reversal after the holiday? Allocation change: (G 80%) (C 5%) (S 10%) (I 5%)

I'm not too enthusiastic about this either.

    Increased within my current mix to (G 50%) (C 15%) (S 20%) (I 15%). Will probably watch for a good exit now.
