    Dodge Dart. Pffffffftt.

Of course you wanna buy when share prices are down. But market timing works better than buy & hold any day. Period.

    Just saying...

Retired people shouldn't have much in equities so DCA'ing shouldn't matter to them anymore. People who aren't making "enough" need to get their finances in order quickly to get back to making "enough."

Thanks, and the ebbchart signals are provided a week to two weeks in advance. Calculating the cycles I monitor makes that possible. Here's the latest update of the exchange-traded fund, TNA (W 12, L 3, +15.58%) using the ebbchart's buy/short signals.

Today's signal is short TNA. One more thing, if you held TNA from May thru December last year, the loss would have been -52%. Following TNA with the ebbchart signals during the same period produced a gain of 154%.

I'm a little behind the power curve. Ebb, is the below chart what you proved to your subscribers?

Very impressive Ebb! I don't know much about timing cycles. I'd like to learn more about cycles to see if I trust them. Is there a good book on the subject that you would recommend?

    Thanks in advance,

    John

Berline, it's just one of the half dozen charts I provide. I don't want to clutter RMI's thread, so I'll create a thread to show some of the charts that track the patterns and the market.

Cycles make the world go 'round. There's no escaping them. A group of technical analysts can come up with different interpretations of the same chart. And it's no different when it comes to timing the market with cycles. Everything depends on the one applying it. Sorry, but I haven't come across any book that uses cycles the way I do.

Well CAT blew away their earnings, futures are up.
Major resistance for the S&P at 1335 (long term trend line from Oct '07).

No end in sight so lots of folks putting in orders to buy into the market...

Great time for the big boys to take this market down...

Correction potential with the next few days for about a week, 1250 or so is the target, then resume uptrend.

Just my 2 cents. Good night and have a great day!!

    We are fracked.

    2 IFT's blows chunks.

That is my 2 cents worth of technical analysis.
Ended 2011 with 4.3%. Well, at least it was positive.

I'm lovin my CAT. That and F are the best moves I've made in the past 4 years.
In Dog Beers I've only had two.
