Almost 3 months later, and I'm still sitting in this allocation. Can't say it's been either a success or a failure, but it's kept me from worrying excessively. I'm tempted to buy back in, but seeing as how May-October is not seasonally strong, I have my reservations. It looks like the gap between 50 and 200 day moving averages is ever narrowing. Could a death cross be in the making? Not sure. Just watching where we go from here.
Using a May IFT to get back in today. New allocation:
C 30%
S 60%
I 10%
Happy 2019! It's been a while since I've done anything with the old TSP allocation. I've been wearing sticky pants for the past 6 months, and boy am I chafed! Time to hang one cheek out. IFT in the hole, effective COB today.
G 50%
C 15%
S 30 %
I 5%
Putting 50% into cash, with the hope that I can re-enter on the next dip. If there's a dip...
Well, that's about it for now. Happy trading everyone!
Almost a year since my last IFT and last post to this thread. Going all in for 2020, as it is an election year and I think the market will continue upward anticipating a GOP re-election.
New position COB:
C 30%
S 70%
2019 PIP = +20.04%
Keep on truckin'...
Holy smokes. It's been over 3 years. I've been long and strong through thick and thin. Just kind of lost my stomach for the market. Been focusing on other areas of life. Sadly, I only have a tad more in the account now than I did at the end of 2021. I just put in an IFT to recalibrate to 50C/50S. Effective COB Monday. For some reason I'm unable to log in to the tracker. I assume my account there has been scrubbed. Anyway, still lots of time under the sun to make hay.
