What was the news?

I don’t see anything to cause that move either. Gets even stranger if you look at amazon shares and gold funds this morning. Money managers left their kids in charge of the portfolios while they are on vacation is my best guess

Looking better now and maybe my Midterm channels are lining up? VIX may be a bear flag:

I don't really know if flags really work in the VIX but if it does VIX will drop and stocks should rise extending the Christmas rally. We need this to happen because last years correction started at the end of December.
