My 50 Day is continuing in decline:
Tapatalk doesn't work at all for me, as in tsptalk forums. Works for anything else.

BQuat,
Any S fund charts today? I penciled in 2777, 2744 and 2725 on the C fund as possible pivot points but would like to see your prognosticating lines. If they line up the way I thing they will, things are about to get very interesting! Happy to be in the G for now!
Still very happy with my stay away for May choice. Playing with a new short term channel:

Still in defense mode(G). Steps needed:
Step 1. Confirm the double bottom
Step 2. Break above the red line.
Step 3. Break above my 100 Day and Lower High Line.
Step 4. Fill the gap and reconsider.
Or you can be bold and enter without the dam steps.
Spidey doesn't like that idea.
Feel free to comment:

If I had to pick one it would probably be my 50 day. It kinda shows me the midterm trend. It's turn to the downside has me concerned.

Did a redraw this morning thinking more toward worst case scenario. Just in case we go for a 10% correction which has a 50/50 chance. Finally the go away for May I did is working well for me. There is a 70/30 chance I will remain in G Fund going into June because I am 60/40 bearish. Spidey sense is not in effect so the new Midterm should just be followed down:

Agree with you Bquat. The 50 EMA or SMA is critical. When price is below it, I consider it risky to get in and like to use Bear Strategy...only go in a few days in anticipation of small bounce.
I read a study last year that tried to identify the best crossover to follow and looked at a couple decades of data. They were trying to find the best crossover to keep you out during downturns and in during prosperous periods while ignoring the daily noise. This strategy gave only a couple signals per year. It showed the stats/returns to support that the daily 13 SMA/48 SMA crossover was best.
I did start keeping those stats on my charts but dropped them early this year because I just can't stick to it....maybe when I enter retirement. Right now, I prefer 3/5 EMA crossover plus MACD and Stochastic.
Best wishes!

Believe it or not I am tempted to go all in with todays action! Mexico is sending an emergency delegation to DC to work around this. I think there may be some nice news come Monday. Add that info to the bottoming of the channel (re Bquat's Midterm lines on his chart) and the potential for a decent bounce is there (even if it is a dead cat it may still be a playable bounce).
I was thinking the same thing....then a bit ago an FBN commentator started saying he thought the market could drop to 22000 Level....eeekkkk… scared me. So still thinking on it …...
Good to hear there will be a meeting with Mexico. I just can't see them not agreeing to so something which would cause a bounce by Monday....hopefully. But the Mexicans are a proud people so I would not be surprised to hear a little slugging...in the end they need us more than we need them... but in the interim, I hope they realize they need to take some action. Market could be even more woobly until then....

Glad I missed the cutoff and am still in G. Looking at 3 month charts (2 year for F) I don't see a pretty picture. Especially when you look at VIX and DJT. Good luck to all and have a great weekend!
