Re: Tsunami's Account Talk
Now it looks like this is just another wave 4....there may be one more panic drop early next week, but then it's up one last time into early to mid-August to 2500ish. That matches Avi Gilbert's expectations that he posted publically on Marketwatch recently...the link that I posted on 7/17....

Re: Tsunami's Account Talk
What a pretty and classic corrective wave B rally over the last four days. Four straight opening bells have been sold off by the smart money.
Above the Green Line - Aug 2, 2017 Buy high, and Sell Higher: Momentum Investing - Joanne Klein - Public ChartList - StockCharts.com
So now we can finish the wave 4, down to just below 2460...heck, it's already halfway there after just the first hour. I'm tempted to buy today, can probably capture at least 1% in the final rally up to near 2500...very risky though, it's possible the top is already in place as Avi Gilburt is warning. A break below 2450ish would be the first sign of that.
Re: Tsunami's Account Talk
Hey TS: Tend to agree with your analysis. 2450 is also my "BEAR TIME" predictor. My guess is that they'll take just under to frenzy those Bears into their shorts, then pull the rug out from under them again. We'll see how it goes. This is almost as much fun are Super Mario. :D

Seasonal weakness continues right on schedule...
Avi Gilburt has been very accurate lately. If that continues look for a low just below the recent low at 2436, then a bounce, then another fall as the whipsaw wave 4 continues into September.

Re: Tsunami's Account Talk
That is wonderful TS!
Never surprised to see the bulls rally but I agree with you that we are chop chop sideways and declining for the next 6 weeks. Seeing lots of bears lining up and the shorts are starting to show up on all the forums.

2018 Federal Retiree COLA Watch - CSRS, FERS, Social Security
Looks like decent COLA's next year for retirees/social security/VA benefits of about 2%

Cougs 3-0 and still on a collision course with 3-0 USC in two weeks...
I noticed last week that my VLO and RDS.B in my dividends portfolio are breaking out to new highs, and per Gunner oil should be starting a new surge, so it should get better after a short-term pullback first.

I might get crazy and buy some ERX for a trade for a few months, but since I see 5 waves up in this chart I'll wait for a pullback to 24 or so to buy, over the next week or two...

The whole commodities market is poised to take off per Jim Puplava on his latest FinancialSense.com podcast...including gold and silver, and grains...the reason is that we're entering the final stages of the bull market overall, and commodities will be the last sector to peak after bonds and then stocks.
Wow, why isn't cereal and other wheat products super cheap right now?

Some rare good news out of Congress:
House Approves TSP Modernization Bill - Pay & Benefits - GovExec.com
If that passes I'll likely stick with the TSP when I retire, as will hundreds of thousands more TSP participants.
Also, with the September CPI at 0.5%, looks like a 2.2% COLA for CSRS retirees (but just 2.0% for FERS retirees), disability benefits, social security. Very nice!
Cougs at Cal tonight. Keep it going Cougs!
Re: Tsunami's Account Talk
They could do all that and not work in at least one additional IFT? Sheesh...
