Me too! Nice to know I'm in with such great company.
going 100 G for monday. The S&P gap at 2840.75 hasn't been filled. If I'm wrong about the gap let me know.

Val...you may have called this perfect. I hung on too long without making a decision this morning and missed the cutoff. I hoped for an afternoon push to 2900 but instead this may be topping action. Now I expect a close around the 2883ish mark with the potential for a weak open on Monday increasing.
And then a spike in the last few minutes to take it back up to a nice close. So much for my afternoon prognosticating! Next week should be interesting..Have a great weekend all!!
I locked in a nice 2+% for the wk. S&P always fills the gap within 2-3 days, (oscar was adamant on that) this time longer, will coincide with the seasonality chart if it fills the gap on monday, then back in for tuesday and the rest of the month if it doesn't get too ugly near the month's end.
Lets Pray for the Blessing.

Today April 6, is a very important day in my families history.
My Grandfather as an Italian Immigrate was working in the Pittsburgh steel mills when WWI started. He joined the US Army and fought in some major battles in France (I have his medal that has the french battles listed on it). He was discharged with the rank of Sergeant. A short time after that the President offered full American citizenship to immigrates that joined US armed forces during the war. The decree allowed for him and his family which where his wife and children which included my Dad to come to America with full automatic American citizenship. So in time, that's how I came to be here in America. Thank God and for my Grandfather.

Unlike December 7, 1941, April 6, 1917 is not a date that lives, either in infamy or fame. Few Americans even know that it marks the country’s entry into World War I.
It was on that spring day that the U.S. House of Representatives voted, at President Woodrow Wilson’s request, to declare war on Germany. The U.S. Senate had voted two days earlier. It was an earthquake in history, with aftershocks still reverberating but largely to silence.
Nor are race or immigration left out of the story. The early twentieth century, like today, was an era of mass immigration to the U.S. About 20 per cent of American troops in World War I were immigrants.

I never thought about this part...did those vets that were granted citizenship go through Ellis Island? I expect they did not.
If they did not this explains how two of my ancestors (Both WW I vets) made it here as citizens without getting their names in the books there (We have found all other relations names that migrated here in the late 1800's and early 1900's in those books). They all had to go through the sponsor program and come through Ellis Island for inspection. If you, or anyone, ever start to search...keep an open mind on spellings. There were many accents speaking and many clerks writing.
I have all of the papers, ship transport, pictures, etc., that brought my Grandmother, my dad and his brother and sister over. They kept everything, even the paper that gave the citizenship to them through my GFs service. So I believe my Grandfather was here after getting out of the army and waited for them here, or if he went back to Italy to get them he was already a US citizen, but I'm not sure. I'll pull out all the papers I have during the week and look everything over again, since it's been about 10yrs, the last time I looked at them.
