Another Newbie coming through....
Long time Govn't Employee; Been in TSP for 10 years or so, and have always been a "buy and hold" type of guy. But..... in recent years have been more concerned with Capitol preservation. (hey, it's my $$$)
I'm kinda confused right now with Mr. Market, and trying to figure out which direction it is heading. I tend to agree with Tom, and his current allocation. It seems at least a 5% correction would be in order at this stage, but Mr. Market keeps bouncing back towards the yearly highs.
Want to thank everyone who contributes to this site. It is informative, sometimes intertaining, and always worth the time spent....

Be safe! Right now is 9:21 EST. Transactions should be posted before noon to count, as it is the deadline for TSP to execute them. Did you received an email confirmation that your transaction was posted and executed yesterday, or would it be executed today?

My conformation e-mail said that the transfer was effective on 4/4//06, requested @ 13:38 EDT on 4/3/06.
I'll know now to get my transfer requests in by 1900 hrs. Bahrainy Time.

ANOTHER LACK LUSTER WEEK IN THE STOCK MARKET. I THINK WE ARE MOVING TO SOME LOWER LOWS FOR THE REST OF THE MONTH, AND I'LL TAKE SOME REFUGE IN THE G "SHOW ME THE PENNIES" FUND UNTIL I CAN SEE SOME BETTER DIRECTION.
