JTH, isn't the broadening fan pattern bearish? Should head down to continue that formation...?

CNBC: Data suggest that Super Tuesday is often a bottom in the stock market, when a front-runner emerges

I like TSPTalk and I think most people here are well-intentioned but if I followed their advice, I'd be hunkered down in my basement with a thousand cans of tuna fish.

Perhaps, I tend to follow the rule that because the previous direction led up into the pattern, it is more likely to be bullish. But chart patterns are really just junk science...

I have to wonder, what are the odds that SPX, TRAN, & NDX would all close down today at -.81% ???

Just got home, so have some catching up to do.

ALPAFS's TRAN flips over to a buy, with a Triple Top Breakout. This means SPX/W4500/TRAN/NDX all have bullish price objectives.

Watching for an inverted fork, it's one of my favorite patterns. If today's candlestick closes with a topping tail, then it can be a reversal pattern (not good)

I've thought about it, I just can't jump in under these conditions, both for myself and ALPAFS. I don't like to chase at a top, especially without an extra IFT to get me back into the markets at a later point in the month.

Best, to those that jump in today.
