Lots of ups and downs today but a green ending. Stay tuned for the Ouija board prediction.
May the force be with us.
Could use some green for a change. Still...thoughts of a storm coming with panic selling is weighing heavily. Will we get it over this quarter or in the second quarter of 2023. Let us get this panic sell started 1st/2nd quarter so we can have a good ending for the rest of the year. I guess this day trade stuff will rule as long as inflation remains elevated. Food prices are just bonkers high. Thank goodness gasoline eased up a little. I have seen even the meat quality sold to consumers as a sale are in fact "select" quality or heaven forbids even lower. A major chain is selling below grade of select to unsuspecting consumers. Egg prices 4-8 dollars a dozen now. Butter is high as well. Some staples we all use have been hit hard. Just got to hang on until this madness eases. Years of easy money printing have come home to roost so would not be surprised to see the pain linger for this year too. Markets tend to forward look so that should recover more quickly.
Woo Hoo!! I'm positive for the month and year. Of course I'm stocking up on depends and sticky pants. 360 more days.
May the force be with us.
I LIKE THIS:
Analysts at Vanguard say, not to worry — they still think 2022 was just an aberration. “This breakdown in correlation was disconcerting for many investors and led some to question whether the 60% stock/40% bond portfolio still had merit as an investment tool,” says Roger Aliaga-Diaz, head of portfolio construction. “Our research finds that correlations can move aggressively over shorter investment horizons but that it would take long periods of consistently high inflation for long-term correlation measures—those that more meaningfully affect portfolio outcomes—to turn positive.”
2 IFT's! That's it, Be cautious & WISE!
Wednesday gave us hope. Thursday gave us angst. How will today play out?
My fresh supply of depends and sticky pants are to be delivered early next week. Just to be safe a pair of each has been put on for today.
Good luck everyone. We sure need some.
May the force be with us.
Sticky pants are paying off, as long as we can continue to climb!
50% S, 50% C 06 Mar, was 100% G; 80% S 20% C COB 08 Jan '24; 100% G COB 14 Nov; was 100% C COB 31 Oct (Boo!); was 100% G COB 12 Oct; was 50% C, 50% S COB 22 Jun; Life is good!
What are the odds that we might actually finish a full week in the green? I'm not holding my breath, but I have pulled all the blinds closed and put on a fresh pair of depends and a new pair of sticky pants just in case.
Monday is a holiday. I'm not sure what that means but I'll stick with it.
May the force be with us.
Alright charters. When was the last time we had all green Monday through Friday and 6 days in a row?
A nice finish to the week and a good start for the month. Can't get too happy because the bottom can drop out next week.
Everyone have a nice weekend and enjoy Monday MLK day.
May the force be with us.
I'd say this week was pretty good. If we are lucky, we can finish the last two days of the month in the green. So far this has been my best month since last July. Good luck everyone. Have a good weekend.
May the force be with us.
New month, new direction in February - or does the rally continue?
