Decided to jump into the "C" fund. Will have to play it out for the month of July and see what happens.

Got nervous. TSP wouldn't accept my password. Had to play around and get a new password in the system. Good thing we can play with the internet and texting. Would have sucked if I would have had to do it by snail mail like the early days.

It's a good thing we have other options. I had problems with my last few IFT's. I could log in the web page just fine and make my IFT request, but when I pressed the final submit button it would never register the request. I gave up on the internet and ended up using the phone menu IFT option. I'm glad we still have that option and there is more than one way to get things done.

Hope everyone had a safe and happy 4th.

Went to a parade in the morning with the grandkids and had everybody over for food and swimming later in the afternoon. Great day.

August doesn't look like a good month to stay invested. Not sure what I'm going to do yet. Attached are the returns for August since 1988.

It is currently 106 here, real feel 98, old bimetal coil thermometer says it’s 98. Sun is off the patio. High was 106, not bad for this area in mid June.

I really have no doubt global temperatures are rising because I have to believe the data. Every time there is a heat wave it is blamed on Global warming. Every time there is a cold wave it is blamed on global climate change.

What do we need to do to see if we can fix it? Carbon credits didn’t seem to fix it, if you could figure out where to buy them. Many complain about climate change but none seem to have a solution other than send money to someone. The US cannot fix a global problem.

I am with nnuut’s statement. “do it”. We will all help, just tell us what to do?

NASA1974, I apologize for the hijacking of your Account Talk thread.

Now, please, back to NASA1974’s Account Talk.

Anyone serious about the subject can google what we as a society can do; and what we as individuals can do. Yes, you're right, do it!
