Well the top two (Nadeem & Dorado) just bailed to the G Fund today. Maybe we should have joined them.

I prefer to leave a fund on an up day vs. a down day, a tough call when you have to decide before noon EST with 4 hours to go before closing bell. But when you are sitting at 22% you can afford to bail on a red day.

Exactly, Nadeem has never posted anything on the forums, I even sent an IM to see who it is and why they do so well, no answer.
I'm starting to look at the tacker everyday for the "Nadeem signal" LOL

LOL!!! But 11:59am doesn't give you much time to pull the trigger.

Me too, but then I get into the trap of riding it down several days in a row only to bail after the first day of a come back. I still need to work on my exit strategy.

OK, looks like this was our up day. Did anybody get out? I didn't. I stayed put. Maybe I'm to greedy. Oink.

Next week will be different. I don't know what I'm going to do yet but I will be positioning myself for an entry into September. I may head for the lilly pad or try one of the stock funds. The S Fund has done good so far in August but I don't expect it to keep the lead in September. Historically the I Fund has done well in September. I will have to wait and see how it looks next week. I still have 2 IFTs left.

Looks to be coming back now. It's probably just the post holiday selloff. Still, I'm glad I bailed at the end of August. I'm expecting more volatility in September.

    From MSN Money.

A stock-market bear signal is at a more-than-4-decade high, says Goldman

A stock-market bear signal is at a more-than-4-decade high, says Goldman

"A gauge of bullish and bearish momentum in the U.S. stock market is ringing alarms for strategists at Goldman Sachs.

The investment bank’s so-called bull-bear indicator, which examines five market factors, indicates that the likelihood of a bear market occurring is at its highest point since around the mid-1970s."

Well after the ride on the "S" fund roller coaster yesterday I am changing into a fresh pair of sticky pants today. Hope the future rumors are true. Not looking to getting it all back but fingers crossed for half.

    Good luck everyone.

TSP Board Approves 16 Percent Increase in Budget

    https://www.govexec.com/pay-benefits...oref=top-story

"The board overseeing the federal government’s 401(k)-style retirement savings program voted unanimously Monday to approve a $360.6 million budget for fiscal 2019, a 16 percent increase over current spending."

"As a result of increasing participation, although next year’s budget marks a 16 percent increase overall, the uptick is only 8 percent, or $5, per participant. TSP Executive Director Ravindra Deo said at a board meeting Monday that a number of ongoing enterprise projects also contributed to the higher budget."
