I abhor our noon cutoff time. I came really, really close to a 75 (G) 25 (S) IFT. Was logged into TSP.gov and ready to execute. But, I just couldn't go through with it once I saw the rally rapidly fading. I still sense that we will have some up days next week... thinking that Monday might be one of them with a stimulus package announcement either late today or over the weekend.

Will I regret that I did not make that IFT? Or will I be relieved?

    We shall see.

Now, it's been announced that President Trump will declare a National Emergency and the rally is gaining steam again. After I heard that while posting the previous comment, I immediately logged into tsp.gov again to IFT 75 (G) 25 (S) @ 1157. But, decided against it once again. Got to keep my "gut" out of this volatile environment.

We shall see on Monday if I would've made a good call. I was really conflicted on this one.

Given the volatility, it just might return by 1400.

    Question Re: Rod's Account Talk

After today's action, some of you might be positive again YTD. If we seem to be rallying hard by noon on Monday, you might want to consider counting your blessings and then hibernate in (G) for awhile. But, one thing to consider before you do that is this- will that rally continue into Tuesday? At that point, it would be a 50/50 crap shoot. But if it was me, and I was down as much as 8% to 9%, I would certainly take advantage of today and IFT to (G) if Monday is rallying hard by noon. But, that's just me.

Wherever it'll be, it's a ways off from here.

Items I have not heard discussed lately is margin debt and any calls made after the recent plunge...Makes me wonder what might be lurking around the corner.

Don't forget to track "Weekend Wall Street" to get a feel for how Monday might shape up:

Finally had time to do some long reading this morning....not a pretty picture gets painted. Some analysts (even Barron's write ups) are now looking at 2300 (SnP) as a floor and express concern about that holding. Now I have to figure out how much of the market goes contrarian to the doom and gloom versus how much capitulates and goes with the flow.
